We’ve often heard people say “it’s funny because it’s true,” but hitting that sweet spot is harder than they think. If you say something true but unfunny to someone, they’ll get defensive and feel the need to dab on their haters.
Then, they set their pool on fire and it just spirals downward from there.
So to prevent this unfortunate situation, let’s study how to expertly mix hilarity and honesty.
1. If hardcore sports fans and hardcore gamers have one thing in common, it’s that they don’t suffer newbies gladly.
And apparently, both are rather fond of the phrase “uncultured swine,” which I can’t say I really expected.
2. I get photoshopping yourself in front of a supercar, but this one kind of escapes me.
What sad little slice of the world forces this poor soul to pretend to go to the beach? Like, even a lake day would be acceptable.
3. You know, I think this is one of those times where honesty actually is the best policy.
Not only are our budgets at that “good enough” stage anyway, but I think a lot of us would find this too relatable to pass up.
4. Well, I suppose this is what I get for saying that horror has to hit us in the “too real” to work.
Enjoy this year’s Halloween haunts while you can because next year’s are gonna be all about bills and student loans.
I’m so sorry, everyone.
