Something that most people have and probably take for granted or don’t think about much are thumbs. They’re useful for so many things such as as grip and support and are a very important body part.
What you may not have known, is that the angle and shape of your thumb can actually reveal a lot about who you are.
Depending on the angle of the thumb when you give a thumbs up, or the size of the top and the bottom in comparison, there are certain personality traits that may be linked.
Take a look at your thumbs and see if any of these are right are you. Here are a few meanings behind the size, shape, and angle of your thumbs.
You may not have realized it, but your thumb can actually say a lot about you and your personality.
The first thing you’re going to want to check out is whether your thumb is straight or crooked. Hold yours up to see and then continue reading to see what this may say about you.
If you have a straight thumb, it could mean that you are a serious person which can make you less animated or likely to joke around.
Having a straight thumb could also mean that you are the type of person who needs to relax a little. But this serious mindset could also make you the type of person who is fit to lead and set a good example.
What if you have a crooked thumb? If your thumb is bent or curved, it can mean that you’re able to express your traits and abilities well. It can also mean that you are a lively and expressive person.
However, curved thumbs can also mean that you’re less likely to take things seriously. Whether that be not taking much initiative at work or joking around at inappropriate times.
There’s more to your thumbs than just the angles. Some also say that the shape of the thumb can say a lot about a person. Do any of these describe you?
For example, the thumb has two distinct halves. This can have different meanings depending on whether they are the same size, or if one is bigger than the other.
If the top of your thumb is bigger than the bottom, it can mean that you’re a passionate person who strives to reach their goals. This can mean that you are a successful person who can at times come off a bit strong.
If the bottom half is the larger section, it can mean that you are more reserved. You might be more of an introverted person or a wallflower. Although you’re content to be alone, it can be difficult to get to know others.
If your thumb has equal halves, this can mean that you are level-headed. It can also say that you are a strong, calm person who would make a good leader. However it can also mean you lack emotion.
If you can open your thumb and your index finger 90 degrees or wider it can mean that you have good self confidence and are a reliant person. It can also mean you prefer if things are done correctly.
If your thumb is flexible or can bend backwards then it can mean that you are an easy-going person. This means that you can easily adapt to changes in life. However, it can also mean that you are too gullible and can be taken advantage of.
In opposition, if your thumb is not flexible it can mean that you are a stiff person who doesn’t like changes. Your decisions will not be easily manipulated and you will be very careful when making them.
What do you think? Have any of these descriptions been accurate about you? Even if it wasn’t 100% right, it’s still interesting to learn what these features can mean.
As well as thumbs, there are other body parts that may say things about you such as the shape of your ears or fist. It can definitely be fun to figure out if you match any of of these traits.
